These are made by the Visioneer company in China. They make high quality binoculars for large companies such as Celestron, Bushnell and Bausch and Lomb, but I had these 20x80's made to my specifications. I wanted the ultimate 20x80 pair for myself so I had them use the best of everything! Here is a list of why they are the best! 1. Huge long eye relief Konig wide angle eyepieces. The eye lens on these eyepieces is almost 1" in clear aperture! This gives you long eye relief so you can use them with the eye cups out or fold them down and get the complete field of view with your glasses on. The expensive 4 element Konig design eyepieces have an exceptional 68 degree apparent field of view giving you a true field of view of almost 3.5 degrees or 144 feet at 1000 yards. This same eyepiece design is used in expensive telescope eyepieces costing as much as $200 each! 2. Fully multicoated optics. Every air to glass surface is multicoated with a green-blue multicoating giving you the brightest reflection free view you can get! These binos are BRIGHT. You can easily see clearly in the dimmest light of dusk or dawn for observing wildlife, and at night they show the moon and stars in amazing detail! 3. BAK4 prisms. The standard in high quality binoculars. This expensive BAK4 glass used in these prisms gives you the brightest sharpest view. The cheaper bak7 glass used in most binoculars cuts off some of the light to the eyepieces. Not in these binos. 4. Sturdy center rail with sliding tripod adapter and 4 hinges. No need to buy a flimsy tripod adapter that will shake, these binos come with a deluxe heavy duty rail and sliding tripod adapter so you can balance them perfectly without shake! If you are hand holding these, lean up against a wall or car to make them steady without a tripod. With the extra sturdy 4 hinge design you get added protection against loss of collimation due to shock. No one wants to see double images in their binoculars. This design helps keep that problem from happening. 5. High quality sharp optics. These optics are super sharp. I saw the space station fly over with these and saw it as a small structure, not just a point of light. The moon looks like a floating round 3 dimensional ball in the sky with mountains and craters. Dark skies are where these shine, showing you hundreds of thousands of stars, detail in nebulae and large clusters shining like diamonds. 6. Smooth precision machined focusers. No sloppiness here! Smooth focusing. It has center focus that adjusts both eyepieces at once and a single focus right ocular for adjusting to any eye differences. 7. Accessories include: nice hard carrying case, caps, and straps with a cleaning cloth to keep your superb binos in top shape. You could easily pay $300 or more in a store for this quality.
